Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Informatika (HMJ) of the UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, “Encoder” together with the HMJ from other Departments at the Faculty of Science and Technology have carried out the inauguration of the new administrators. The inauguration was held on Friday, March 29, 2019, which took place at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Science and Technology of UIN Malang. The event was attended by Dr. Sri Harini, M.Sc as Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology along with her staff, chairman of SEMA-FST, prospective administrators of DEMA-FST along with prospective administrators of HMJ under the Faculty of Science and Technology, and representatives from the City Resort Police of Malang who are IPDA Ni Made Seruni Marhaeni with the Head of Public Relations from the City Resort Police of Malang and its members.
The inauguration program began with the reading of the Holy Qur’an and singing the national anthem of Indonesia. After that, it was followed by remarks by the Chair of the SEMA-FST and the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology. The program continued with a public lecture about “Keep Existing Without Hoax” by the Head of Public Relations of the City Resort Police of Malang.
The City Resort Police of Malang said that the content entitled with clickbait was more likely to be sought after by the population of Indonesia because it aroused curiosity even though it contained false news. The City Resort Police of Malang also appealed to be wary of provocative content.
After delivering material by the Head of Public Relations of the City Resort Police of Malang, followed by the handover of the position of chairperson SEMA-FST and chairperson of DEMA-FST as well as giving awards to the previous chairmen of OMIK. Then, it ended with an inauguration and the pledge by all new administrators of OMIK, followed by taking photos with the new administrators of HMJ in each department.
