Maliki Tech Festival 2022 is an annual event organized by the Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang as a means to channel innovation, creativity, and skills of students in particular and the Indonesian people in general in the field of technology so that a new generation emerges that contributes who is big on business and work in the field of technology and it is hoped that this creative innovation can provide readiness and increase the competitiveness of the Indonesian people at this time.
One of the competitions at the 2022 Maliki Tech Festival with the theme Business Model Transformation And Innovation: Developing The Digital Economy In The Era Of Technological Advancement, where participants are challenged to be able to express innovative ideas to create applications in the form of websites and mobile platforms that have high functionality. and can address the needs of the community. Participants will collect their work in the form of a finished application or MVP form.
The competition was conducted with several stages of selection by the committee with the final results of presentations from several finalists who had gone through the selection stage. Before the selection stage, participants received Peer to Peer mentoring which had been facilitated by the committee. This mentoring was delivered by several community representatives in the Informatics Engineering study program at UIN Malang. After the participants went through a series of mentoring, in the fifth week the participants were able to collect applications or products and videos in the range of June 26 to July 20, 2022.
After the project submission deadline ends, it’s time for the judging for the preliminary selection stage. At this stage of the 21 registered participants, only 5 made it to the final round. Then the participants who passed the final round made a live presentation via zoom teleconference on July 30, 2022. The announcement of the winner of this Hackathon will be on July 31, 2022.
By holding this activity, it is hoped that it can be a means of sharing knowledge and experiences related to self-development in the digital era, building human resources who are ready to enter directly into the competition of the digital era through creative ideas and technological innovation and can develop skills and characters who are ready to face technological developments in this era. digital.
