Malang, August 25, 2023 – The Faculty of Science and Technology at Universitas Islam Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held the Introduction to Academic Culture and Student Life (PBAK) event for new students in the Master of Informatics program. The event took place on Friday, August 25, 2023, starting at 08:00 until completion, and was officially opened by the Head of the Study Program, Dr. Cahyo Crysdian.
This year’s PBAK theme was “Strategies and Tips for Graduating in 3 Semesters,” featuring guest speaker Muhammad Isa Ansori, SE., M.Kom, the Technology Solutions Manager at PT POS Indonesia Malang Branch. The event was attended by new students from the Faculty of Science and Technology beginning their academic journey in 2023.
The objectives of this event included providing a comprehensive introduction to the Faculty of Science and Technology, fostering students who are devoted to Allah Swt and responsible in applying their knowledge, and integrating scientific knowledge with Islamic values. Additionally, the event aimed to prepare students to develop effective learning strategies, and cultivate innovative, creative, and leadership skills.
Furthermore, this initiative is expected to assist new students in building independence in achieving academic and non-academic accomplishments, while also motivating them to excel and innovate. Through this PBAK, it is hoped that new students will become more aware of their roles and responsibilities as future leaders.
With this event, the Faculty of Science and Technology aims to equip new Master of Informatics students with the necessary tools to succeed in their academic pursuits and contribute positively to society.
