Malang, December 6, 2023 – On December 6, 2023, the Master’s Program in Informatics at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang welcomed a study visit from the Antasari State Islamic University (UIN) in Banjarmasin. This visit aimed to share knowledge and experiences to enhance the quality of education at both universities.
The delegation from UIN Banjarmasin, comprising faculty members and administrative staff, was warmly received by the leadership and the entire team of the Master’s Program in Informatics at UIN Malang. The event began with a welcome address from the Head of the Master’s Program, who emphasized the importance of inter-university collaboration in creating an innovative educational environment.
During the visit, the delegation from UIN Banjarmasin was given a tour of the facilities and infrastructure of the Master’s Program in Informatics at UIN Malang. They also engaged in discussions about the curriculum, teaching methods, and various ongoing research programs. The discussions were highly interactive, with many ideas and experiences shared between the two parties.
One of the main topics discussed was the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, which has been adopted by the Master’s Program in Informatics at UIN Malang. UIN Banjarmasin expressed interest in this approach and plans to adopt several aspects for their own study programs.
Additionally, the visit explored potential collaborations in research and technology development. Both parties agreed to explore opportunities for joint research projects, faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint seminars and workshops in the future.
Through this study visit, it is hoped that both UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and UIN Antasari Banjarmasin can learn from each other and benefit mutually for the advancement of higher education in Indonesia. Such activities demonstrate the commitment of both universities to providing high-quality and relevant education that keeps pace with technological advancements.
