The Informatics Engineering Study Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, successfully hosted a guest lecture titled “Implementation of Multimedia in Information Technology: The ‘Bajak Singkal’ Game” as part of Digifest UIN Maliki 2025. The event, held on May 23, 2025, featured Dr. Anang Kukuh Adisusilo, ST., MT., a lecturer from LLDikti Region VII, East Java (affiliated with Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya), as the keynote speaker. Approximately 300 participants, including students, lecturers, and administrative staff, attended the session.
Dr. Fachrul Kurniawan, ST., M.MT., IPU, Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, expressed his appreciation for the students’ enthusiasm and highlighted various Digifest 2025 activities, such as the IoT exhibition, gaming showcase, and mobile farming demonstration, held at Maliki Plaza as a platform for digital innovation.
Dr. Anang Kukuh Adisusilo shared insights on integrating game technology with agriculture. He explained that the inspiration for “Bajak Singkal” stemmed from a desire to break the monotony of programming routines while creating an engaging educational tool to introduce agriculture to younger generations. “Games are not just for entertainment—they can also serve as a bridge to the digital agriculture revolution,” he emphasized.
During the Q&A session, participants inquired about multi-platform game development and strategies to attract youth to agriculture. Dr. Anang provided detailed explanations, covering tools like Unity and the importance of a creative gamification approach.
The event concluded with the presentation of commemorative plaques and certificates to the speaker, followed by a group photo. The Informatics Engineering Study Program hopes this initiative will foster further collaboration between information technology and strategic sectors, such as agriculture.
