UIN Malang Actively Participates in the 2025 APTIKOM National Meeting in Lampung

The Informatics Engineering Study Program of UIN Malang participated in the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of the Association of Higher Education in Informatics and Computers (APTIKOM) in 2025. The event entitled “Building a Resilient IT Workforce: AI-Driven Cybersecurity for National and Global Challenges” took place from October 9 to 11, 2025 in Lampung, and was attended by various experts, academics, and representatives of educational institutions from all over Indonesia.

UIN Malang delegated a number of study program leaders to be actively involved in this national strategic agenda. The delegation consisted of Supriyono, M.Kom. (Head of S1 Informatics Engineering Study Program), Shoffin Nahwa Utama, M.T. (Secretary of the S1 Informatics Engineering Study Program), and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Faisal, M.T. (Head of S2 Informatics Study Program). Their presence shows UIN Malang’s commitment to continue to contribute to the development of higher informatics and computer education in Indonesia.

The series of events was opened with warm remarks from the Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, and the General Chairman of APTIKOM, Prof. Achmad Benny Mutiara. In his remarks, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Mendikbudristek), Prof. Brian Yullarto, also gave appreciation and support through video connections.

The APTIKOM 2025 National Coordination Meeting is not only a gathering place, but also a forum to improve the quality of higher education in informatics and computers in Indonesia. This can be seen from the various activities held, such as:

  1. Competency Clinics: Before the main event began, 14 clinic sessions were held that discussed strategic topics. Some of them include the preparation of OBE-based curriculum, writing scientific papers, international accreditation, journal management, and tips for successfully submitting research proposals. This clinic is aimed at increasing the capacity of lecturers and education staff.
  2. National Seminar (SEMNASTIK) and International Conference (ICIC): In parallel with the National Coordination Meeting, held by SEMNASTIK and ICIC which featured presentations of research results from academics and practitioners. The main topic raised was the empowerment of IT HR through human-centered Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  3. Sharing Sessions and Cooperation: Several universities, including representatives from within and outside the country such as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, share best practices in education management. The event was also enlivened by the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding (MoU) with various strategic partners.
  4. Session and Coordination Meeting: The APTIKOM DPP Management presented performance reports and programs to be evaluated together. One of the important agendas is the selection of the location of the APTIKOM National Conference (Munas) in 2026.
  5. Awards Night: On the awards night, APTIKOM awards the winners of various competitions, such as the National Data Festival (PEDAS), Nusantara Cyber Security (NCS), and Apchackton, as well as awards for outstanding institutions and industries.

Through active participation in this national meeting, the UIN Malang delegation succeeded in gaining knowledge, expanding the network, and bringing home the latest insights to be synergized with the development of the S1 Informatics Engineering Study Program and S2 Informatics at UIN Malang. The APTIKOM 2025 National Coordination Meeting affirms a shared commitment to building human resources (HR) in the field of Information Technology (IT) that are resilient and ready to face global challenges, especially in the field of cyber security which is strengthened by artificial intelligence.
