Benchmarking is a process commonly used in management or generally strategic management, where a unit or section or organization measures and compares its performance against similar activities or activities of other similar units or sections or organizations both internally and externally. From the results of benchmarking, an organization can gain insight into the condition of the organization’s performance so that it can adopt best practices to achieve the desired goals. Benchmarking activities do not have to be a one-time event, but can also be a continuous activity so that organizations can benefit from achieving the best organizational activity practices for them. Therefore, the Informatics Engineering Student Association of UIN Malang held a Benchmarking on November 5, 202 at 07.00 pm with the theme “Build Relations, Share Experience, Improve an Optimal Performances”. This activity was attended by representatives from the management of the Informatics Engineering Student Association of UIN Malang (HIMATIF ENCODER) and the management of the Telkom University Informatics Student Association (HIMA-IF). The purpose of this activity is to add information related to the performance conditions in each group so that they can implement the system and performance with the best quality in work programs in each group in the future.
The Benchmarking activity began with a greeting from the chairman of the Informatics Engineering Student Association of UIN Malang and continued with remarks from the vice-chairman of the Telkom University Informatics Student Association. After the welcome ceremony, it was continued with a presentation of the work program from the Student Association of the Department of Informatics, UIN Malang. The presentation of this work program was presented by representatives from each division and continued with a presentation about the community in the Informatics Engineering Department of UIN Malang. After the division representatives from the Informatics Engineering Student Association of UIN Malang made a presentation, representatives from the Telkom University Informatics Student Association also made a presentation explaining the work program that had been implemented.
The next session after the presentation of the work program from the Informatics Engineering Student Association of UIN Malang and the Informatics Engineering Student Association of Telkom University was shared with each division that was the same between the two major student associations. Sharing here uses the breakout room at zoom, where each division enters the breakout room according to the same division and shares about the work program that has been implemented. After sharing all divisions, return to the main room and an exciting game event begins. All activities went smoothly until the last session, namely the delivery of impressions and messages by representatives from the two major student associations.
