The Informatics Engineering Study Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang continued to finalize preparations for the 2026 Community Development Program (CDP) through a coordination meeting held on April 22, 2026, at Daruttauhid Islamic Boarding School in Malang City.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program and Team CDP 2026, along with Ustadz Arif and Ustadz Azka, representatives from the Islamic boarding school. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, serving as a strategic discussion forum for designing effective programs that would have a real impact on the Islamic boarding school environment.
During the coordination meeting, two main programs were agreed upon to be implemented within the 2026 CDP. The first program is the Odoo ERP-Based Financial Management and Student Services Transformation, which aims to help Islamic boarding schools improve the efficiency and transparency of financial management and student administration services through the use of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. With this implementation, it is hoped that administrative processes will become more structured, digitized, and easily accessible.
The second program is the Light Follower Robot Development Training, which aims to improve students’ skills in technology and robotics. Through this training, students will be introduced to basic electronics concepts, light sensors, and simple programming to create robots capable of following light sources.
As a follow-up, the robotics training is planned to be held in the Digital and Robotics Laboratory, allowing participants to learn directly in a environment with adequate facilities and a supportive practical environment.
The Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program stated that both programs are designed not only as a form of community service but also as a sustainable empowerment effort. Students will be actively involved in the implementation process, enabling them to apply the knowledge gained during their studies to real-world contexts in the community.
Meanwhile, the Daruttauhid Islamic Boarding School welcomed the planned program and expressed its readiness to support the implementation of CDP 2026. This collaboration is expected to provide long-term benefits, both for developing student competencies and improving the quality of Islamic boarding school governance.
Through this coordination activity, it is hoped that the implementation of CDP 2026 can run smoothly and provide a significant contribution to the development of community-based technology in Islamic boarding schools.
