The Informatics Engineering Undergraduate Study Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held a curriculum document review session on Monday, July 27, 2026. This activity aimed to enhance the quality of education and align the curriculum with the current needs of the technology industry.
The event began at 13:00 WIB and was conducted in a hybrid format, taking place both in the Informatics Engineering meeting room and via Zoom Meeting.
The session featured Dr. Dede Kurniadi, S.Kom., M.Kom., an assessor from the Independent Accreditation Agency for Informatics and Computer Science (LAMINFOKOM).
In his presentation, Dr. Dede Kurniadi emphasized the importance of incorporating the program’s academic vision into elective courses. Furthermore, he noted that Islamic values ​​and ethics (*Ulul Albab*) should not be limited to General Courses (MKU); they must also be integrated into specialized courses, such as software engineering ethics and information technology governance.
The event also addressed Graduate Profiles (PL), which encompass attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The formulation of these profiles adheres to national and international standards, such as CS2023, IABEE, SN-DIKTI, and the National ICT Occupation Map.
The speaker offered several key recommendations for curriculum improvement:
- Aligning Vision and Graduate Profiles: Ensuring the study program’s vision aligns with the academic disciplines being taught.
- Focusing on Key Areas: Concentrating graduate profiles on the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Software Engineering (SE).
- Adhering to Industry Standards: Ensuring graduate profiles comply with KKNI Level 6 and the National ICT Occupation Map from APTIKOM.
Through this initiative, the Informatics Engineering Study Program at UIN Maliki Malang reaffirms its commitment to producing high-quality, ethical graduates who are ready to compete in the professional world.
