Students from the Informatics Engineering program at the State Islamic University (UIN) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang have once again proven that they excel not only in academics and technology but also possess extraordinary artistic talent.
Two Informatics Engineering students from the Class of 2024, Muhammad Aditya Dermawan and Veronica Aisyah Nabilla, achieved national-level success alongside the UIN Malang Student Choir (PSM Gema Gita Bahana) at the prestigious 11th Brawijaya Choir Festival held from February 3 to 6, 2026.
In this vocal competition, which featured choirs from across Indonesia, the PSM Gema Gita Bahana team successfully secured three prestigious awards. The achievements brought home include:
- 2nd Place in the Pop & Jazz Category
- Gold Medal in the Music of Religion Category
- Most Promising Choir Award
This impressive success is a result of the hard work and solid collaboration of all PSM Gema Gita Bahana team members. In addition to the Informatics Engineering delegates, the choir team was bolstered by other talented members, including Keyza Nadia Rahmania, Ummul Izzah An-Nafisah, Salma Okta Rachmadani, Nabilla Citra Nur Aulia, and Carissa Febryna Zahron.
The participation and victory of Muhammad Aditya Dermawan and Veronica Aisyah Nabilla are a source of pride for the Informatics Engineering program. It demonstrates that engineering students are capable of balancing technical computing skills with soft skills and artistic creativity.
