Malang, November 13, 2023 – UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta successfully organized the “National Informatics Research Forum 2023.” This event was a collaborative effort between the Master of Informatics Study Programs of the Faculty of Science and Technology at both universities. The national scientific seminar was held virtually and attended by participants from various backgrounds, including undergraduate and graduate students, lecturers, practitioners, and more from across Indonesia.
The event was free and open to the public, combining parallel and panel sessions. The event commenced with opening remarks from the Deans/Heads of the Master of Informatics Study Programs from UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
Following the opening ceremony, the event continued with parallel sessions conducted through online breakout rooms. Each room was led by a moderator and an assistant, featuring presenters and participants discussing various research themes such as Intelligent Systems, Web and Mobile, Multimedia and Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, and Systems & Network. Each room accommodated up to 10 presenters, with a total of 150 online and offline participants.
The event also featured notable speakers, including:
- Ir. Agung Fatwanto, M.Kom Ph.D., Lecturer of Master of Informatics at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
- Sumber Harto, S.Pd, SP, Head of Geophysics Station Nganjuk.
- M. Ziaelfikar Albaba, ST, Director of PT Indiekraf Digital Kreatif and Chairman of STASION Malang Community.
- Muhammad Isa Ansori, SE., M.Kom, Technology Solutions Manager at PT POS Indonesia Main Branch Malang, Alumni of Master of Informatics UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
- Siska Iskandar, M.Kom., Alumni of Master of Informatics UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
- Galan Ramadhan Harya Galib, Member of Informatics Students Community at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
The event was moderated by:
- Syaifudin Ramadhani, S.Kom, Chairman of the Student Association at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.
- Supardi Atisina, ST, Chairman of the Student Association at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.
Participants included students from both universities, lecturers, practitioners, and the general public.
