The Informatics Engineering Study Program of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held an International Guest Lecture entitled “Intelligent Visual Computing for Smart, Safe, and Human-Centered Environments” on Monday, September 7, 2026. The event took place at the Micro Teaching Auditorium, Campus 1 of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, from 08:00 to 12:00 WIB.

The event began with participant registration, opening by the master of ceremonies, recitation of the holy Quran, and singing of the national anthem Indonesia Raya. The Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology delivered an opening speech and officially opened the event. After that, all participants and speakers took part in a group photo session.

This guest lecture featured three expert speakers from Japan, Taiwan, and Indonesia:

• Prof. Nobuo Funabiki presented the first material entitled “Building Indoor Digital Twins from Panoramic Images: 3D Modelling and CCTV Camera Placement Optimization”.

• Prof. Chih-Peng Fan presented the second material entitled “AI-Powered Yoga Self-Practice: Deep Learning-Based Human Pose Estimation and Skeleton Tracking”.

• Prof. Ir. Yan Watequlis Syaifudin, S.T., M.MT., Ph.D. presented the third material entitled “Intelligent Learning Assistance for Mobile Programming: Automated Assessment and Self-Learning Support”.

After the presentations, the event continued with an interactive question-and-answer session guided by the moderator. The faculty leaders and committee then presented certificates and souvenirs to the speakers. The series of events concluded with a closing prayer and official closing by the master of ceremonies.

Through this event, the Informatics Engineering Study Program of UIN Malang continuously commits to enhancing global insight and academic quality for students in the field of artificial intelligence and visual computing.
