The Informatics Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang, has officially established a strategic partnership with PT Computesta Digital Indonesia, the official agency of AMD Indonesia. This collaboration was formalized through the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) numbered B-91/FST/HK.07.00/8/2026 and MOU/CDI/2026/II/1.
The signing took place in the Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Dr. Agus Mulyono, M.Kes (Dean of FST) represented the SECOND PARTY, and Heriyanto (Director of PT Computesta Digital Indonesia) represented the FIRST PARTY. This event marked the joint commitment of both parties to support the implementation of the TRI DHARMA of Higher Education.
This collaboration has a broad scope, encompassing:
- Provision of education, research, and community service,
- Improving the quality of Human Resources (HR),
- Public lectures and seminars,
- Implementation of Field Work Practices (PKL) and student internships,
- Development of facilities and infrastructure,
- Job placement and internships for graduates,
- And various other mutually agreed-upon activities.
This Collaboration is designed to be flexible. The implementation of each activity is non-binding and must be based on a further written agreement, including incidental funding. This provides room for both parties to tailor the program to their respective needs and capacities.
This agreement is valid for three years, starting January 29, 2026, and may be extended, amended, or terminated by mutual agreement. Routine evaluations will be conducted annually.
The Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program at UIN Malang is optimistic that the synergy with industry partners such as PT Computesta Digital Indonesia will open up significant opportunities for students, both in competency development, internship experience, and future employment opportunities.
With this collaboration, Informatics Engineering at UIN Malang further establishes itself as a technology-based education center integrated with industry, while simultaneously strengthening the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in a tangible and sustainable manner.
