The Informatics Engineering Program at UIN Malang successfully conducted a curriculum review on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Hotel Aston Batu. The event brought together faculty members, staff, and renowned speaker Prof. Aji Prasetya Wibawa, Ph.D., Professor of Knowledge Engineering and Data Science, Faculty of Engineering (FT) State University of Malang (UM).
The main speaker, Prof. Aji Prasetya Wibawa, shared insights into crucial aspects that need attention in designing a curriculum that is responsive to the latest developments in the field of information technology.
The event commenced with opening remarks and Technical Explanation of Activities from the vice dean for academic affairs Faculty Science and Technology Dr. Anton Prasetyo, emphasizing the importance of curriculum review to ensure that graduates are well-prepared for the challenges in an ever-evolving job market.
During the interactive discussion session, the speaker and participants actively explored necessary changes to the curriculum to meet industry demands and ensure that graduates possess skills aligned with market needs. Key points discussed during the event included enhancing learning materials related to artificial intelligence, developing soft skills, and integrating the latest technologies into teaching methods.
