The Informatics Engineering Study Program of the State Islamic University (UIN) Malang reaffirmed its commitment to the development of computer science and information technology by actively participating in the 2025 National Seminar on Information Technology and Systems (SITASI). On this occasion, the Informatics Engineering Study Program at UIN Malang was represented by Shoffin Nahwa Utama, M.T., as the Study Program Secretary.
The event, with the overarching theme “Digital Transformation and the Strategic Role of AI in Building the Nation Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” was held on:
Day, Date: Thursday, September 11, 2025
Time: 8:00 AM WIB until finished
Venue: Warsito Auditorium, 12th Floor, Wimaya I Tower, UPN Veteran, East Java.
This event was organized in collaboration with leading higher education institutions, namely Telkom University (Tel-U), Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) Malang, Nusantara PGRI University Kediri, UNITOMO, and the National Development University (UPN) as the host.
This participation not only provides an opportunity to gain the latest knowledge and insights on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation, but also serves as a highly strategic opportunity. One of the main agenda items attended by study program representatives was the signing ceremony of a consortium agreement with UPN Veteran East Java and other participating institutions.
The signing of this consortium represents a concrete step towards strengthening collaborative networks within the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which encompasses the exchange of lecture materials, research collaboration, community service, and human resource development. This synergy is expected to positively impact the academic quality and competency of Informatics Engineering graduates at UIN Malang.
“Participation in SITASI 2025 and the signing of this consortium is a long-term investment for the future of the study program and its students. This opens up opportunities for our lecturers and students to engage in joint research, publications, and various other development programs within a broader network,” said Shoffin Nahwa Utama, M.T.
The entire academic community of the Informatics Engineering Study Program at UIN Malang fully supports this strategic step and hopes that the collaboration will significantly contribute to the advancement of information technology in Indonesia, particularly in welcoming Indonesia Emas 2045.
