Congratulations to the Informatics Engineering students from UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The delegation team successfully secured a national top 16 position in the “HACKFEST Code For Humanity 2026” event held at Ciputra University Surabaya on April 25-26, 2026.

In this competition, the team from UIN Malang successfully made it to the top 16 out of a total of 53 teams from various universities throughout Indonesia, including the Bandung Institute of Technology, Brawijaya University, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, BINUS University, and Telkom University. Approximately 250 participants participated in this event.

The delegation from Informatics Engineering at UIN Malang consisted of:

2. Muhammad Bagus Kurniawan (240605110100).
3. Mohammad Agus Rozakhy (240605110262).
4. Moh. Azka Fariqi (240605110257).

This achievement was made even more special because UIN Malang was the only university under the State-Owned Institution of Higher Education (PTKIN) to qualify as a finalist in the hackathon.

HACKFEST itself is an annual Hackathon & UI/UX competition organized by the Informatics Student Association of Ciputra University. This year’s competition theme is “Code for Humanity,” which focuses on several sustainable development goals (SDGs):

1. Health (SDG 3),
2. Education (SDG 4),
3. Environment (SDG 13),
4. Peace and Justice (SDG 16).

Through this activity, participants are encouraged to collaborate and create innovative solutions that have a real impact on society, through hands-on coding experience.

This success is expected to motivate other students to continue creating, innovating, and achieving success at the national and international levels.
