Gebyar ICT 2019: Cinematography Competition

Malang – Student Association of Informatics Department presented a Cinematography Competition at Gebyar ICT 2019 with the theme “Innovation of Technology”. This event was a short movie competition targeting the public. Cinematography Competition selected 2 Champions and 3 Best Categories. The aim of the event was to invite young generation to increase their innovations in technology. As a media that continues to grow in the current era of globalization, a short movie carry an important role in Indonesian society, especially among students as young generation, because it has the potency to motivate young generation to advance their insight related to their future in work, culture, character, and image of the nation.

Cinematography competition was held on November 2^nd, 2019, in Ruang Millenial, Sunan Muria Rd, Malang City. The event was participated by the students from several universities such as PENS Surabaya, UMM Malang, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, as well as by some movie studio from Malang, Batu, Surabaya, and Bandung such as Cinema Batu Adem Community, such as Sudut Pandang Sinema, Kine Klub UMM, R9 Cinema, Persona Media, H KID DYNASTY, and Arikazou Production .

The event was held from 8:00 AM to 13.30 PM. As a result of the Great Competition, Persona Media came as the 1^st Winner of Cinematography Competition of Gebyar ICT 2019. The 2^nd place was taken by R9 Cinema and for the Best Categories, there are 3 Nominees, I3 Production won Best Scenario Category, then H KID DYNASTY won Best Director, last Best Cinema was won by Persona Media.

For the Film Screening Sudut Pandang Sinema won both of the categories, there were Best Cinematography and Best DOP (Director of Photograph).

It was a great competition with amazing participants. Cinematography Competition is a series of event under Gebyar ICT 2019. There were two more competitions to catch namely Micro Drone Race that will be held on this Saturday, November, 9^th 2019 and Innovative App Idea that will be held on November, 10^th 2019.
