STATIK or stands for Semarak Ta’aruf Teknik Informatika is an event that aims to introduce all the culture of the department to the freshman of 2020 in the Department of Informatics and make them adapt to the various tasks they will face later. There is something different in STATIK 2020 where the entire event is held online. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was held online. Even with all the limitations and unexpected events, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the organizing committee to hold the event well and conducive and did not make the enthusiasm of new students majoring in the Department of Informatics to participate in the event.
The STATIC 2020 event, which was attended by approximately 190 new students, was held online via a YouTube live stream. The materials presented were recorded before STATIK was held and then broadcast on YouTube to introduce materials related to Informatics Engineering and what is in the department. Some of the material presented, such as an introduction to 11 communities in the Department of Informatics, Organizational material, Organizations that are still related to Informatics Engineering, and many other interesting materials.
The implementation of STATIK 2020 lasted for 3 days, on 18, 24, and 25 October 2020. The entire series of events was successfully carried out in a conducive manner and ended with a meeting through Zoom Teleconference with all STATIK 2020 participants and all STATIK 2020 committee members who had contributed to it. Screening of Behind The Scene videos, as well as all unique video summaries from the participants also enlivened the STATIK 2020 closing event through the Zoom Teleconference.
