OBE Curriculum Review for the Master’s Program in Informatics


On June 20, 2024, the Master’s Program in Informatics at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Review, featuring Prihandoko, S.Kom, MIT, PhD, a lecturer from Gunadarma University and an evaluator and member of the accreditation committee for IABEE.

This event brought together various stakeholders, including faculty members from the Master’s Program in Informatics, the Curriculum Evaluation Team, the Head of the Laboratory, the Head of the Informatics Science Consortium, and the Quality Assurance Unit. The primary goal of this review was to ensure that the Informatics curriculum meets the expected standards of quality and relevance.

During the review, Prihandoko provided valuable feedback and recommendations to enhance the curriculum’s quality. One key outcome of the event was the need to revise and generalize the graduate profile to better reflect the general competencies required by graduates. Additionally, the learning outcomes for graduates should be formulated more specifically to align with the needs of the job market.

Through this curriculum review, the Master’s Program in Informatics at UIN Malang aims to continuously improve the quality of its education, ensuring that its graduates can compete effectively and meet the demands of both industry and society.
