The Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Batu City has taken an innovative step to expand its outreach and serve the community in the modern era. This is realized through a strategic collaboration with the Informatics Engineering Undergraduate Program to develop the official MUI Batu City website.
The strategic meeting to discuss the digital platform design was held on Tuesday (June 30, 2026) in the Informatics Engineering Undergraduate Program Meeting Room.
The MUI Batu City delegation was attended by key figures driving the organization, including:
- Drs. Muhammad Sholihin, M.Pd (General Treasurer)
- Mustofa Kamal, S.HI (Secretary 2)
- Pambudi Utomo, S.S (Information & Mass Media Commission)
The presence of the MUI management team was warmly welcomed by the Head of the Informatics Engineering Undergraduate Program, Mr. Supriono, M.Kom., and his team.
The meeting focused on designing a website that would not only serve as a digital information board but also serve as an interactive reference center for Muslims, particularly in Batu City and the surrounding area.
Mr. Supriono, M.Kom., expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration. He believes this partnership demonstrates the Tridharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community service.
This website development collaboration is expected to be the starting point for ongoing synergy between religious institutions and technology educational institutions. Going forward, the Informatics Engineering Undergraduate Program also plans to provide mentoring and system maintenance training to enable the Batu City MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council) administrators to manage digital content independently and professionally.
With this collaboration, the Batu City MUI demonstrates its readiness to continuously adapt to changing times, utilizing technology as a bridge to spread Islam, a blessing for the universe.
